Louise Jennings

Louise is a writer/copy editor who pursues an ideal of writing with precision and grace while delivering on the tangible needs of clients and readers. Able to express complex and technical ideas in simple terms, she also offers over twelve years' experience in administrative and project management roles.

A creative writer at heart, the discipline gained through her proofreading and editing work means a balance is able to be struck between originality and clarity. Competent in writing across a broad range of frameworks, she is well-versed in business writing, reports, quotations, seminar material, hearing submissions, speech writing and persuasive writing.

Louise's diverse career has encompassed project and account management roles both here and in Australia. Invaluable organisational skills were honed through a sole charge GST Education Project for the Australian Newsagents' Federation and during three years as a Senior Account Manager for a bespoke full service market research company.

Before taking time off to have her family, Louise was the Executive Officer - Environmental Health for the Auckland Regional Public Health Service. In this role she was engaged in developing and implementing strategic plans, identifying new opportunities for the provision of environmental health advocacy services and in organising and coordinating the team's involvement in committee hearings, district and regional plans and policies.

With extensive experience in service and accountability, Louise is always eager to deliver client satisfaction. An enthusiastic nature and willing disposition ensure she consistently gives extra to ensure deadlines and expectations are met.

She is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programmes including editing software and has completed a course in Successful Project Management. In recent years Louise has been the recipient of the AA Direction's Magazine, 'New Travel Writer of the Year Award' as well as Massey University's 'Top Student Award - Speech Writing'.

Louise holds a Bachelor of Arts (English) from Massey University. She also has a Diploma of Editing and Proofreading from the New Zealand Institute of Business Studies.

When not writing or kid-wrangling, she indulges in painting large whimsical artworks and attending group fitness classes at her local gym.
