As TDM's People and Capability Lead, Chris looks after our consultants and contractors as well as offering expertise to our clients in all the people aspects of their businesses.

Chris offers director level, substantial practical experience of all aspects of HR management and organisation development, particularly in aligning strategy, policy and process. He is a leader of major recruitment and organisation restructure programmes, with international experience gained in UK and Australia.

His engagements in New Zealand and Australia have been conducted in public and private sectors and in service, retail and utility industries. Projects include organisation strategy and structure, recruitment and selection, and management and team development.

Chris's recent projects include an organisation review for a major NZ power company, leading to the establishment of a new HR functional team and the selection of a Senior HR manager; design and delivery of an extended leadership and management programme to establish and embed the senior team of a substantial service company; strategic business planning process for a developing consultancy organisation and individual coaching and mentoring for senior and mid-tier managers in a range of organisations including public sector agencies.

An experienced and highly effective coach, Chris works with individuals at every level of business. This includes a number of entrepreneurs who have benefited from the objective and direct reflection that Chris enables, providing positive, practical and enjoyable coaching to assist them to fulfil their potential. He also offers individual and tailored career development advice, and this has been invaluable to people seeking to identify and take the next step in their working lives.

In his own time Chris puts his skills to practice in the sporting arena, coaching a number of competitive rowing teams. He also likes to mess around with boat construction and is nearing completion of a long-term project.

Chris holds an MA (Oxford) and MBA (Cranfield School of Management) and is a graduate of UK Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.
